Spier Light Art is the leading light art festival in South Africa, held annually at the historic Spier Wine Farm in Stellenbosch. Since its inception in 2018, the festival has been recognised for curating and producing artworks by established artists and collectives as well as emerging artists, enabling them to exhibit large-scale light art installations in the sprawling grounds of the Farm.

Co-curated by Jay Pather and Vaughn Sadie, offers a dynamic platform for artistic experimentation, interdisciplinarity, and cross-cultural exchange. Grounded in local contexts, Spier Light Art supports diverse creative practices and promoting critical artistic expression. In 2024, LIGHT PLACE was appointed as the producing partner for Spier Light Art with the intention of deepening its social and economic inclusion and impact.
